I think it's one of the prettiest parks in Ormskirk - but Victoria Park off St Helens Road is hiding some dirty secrets according to insiders at the council's Street Scene team...
And it's led to some of them asking to be issued with bodycams to capture footage from upsetting incidents when dealing with inconsiderate dog owners and their 'foul play' at the park with its myriad of well tended flower beds and ornamental bushes.
One recently had a run in with a lady from the Ruff Lane area who was politely asked to clear up her dog's mess; she refused - and the Street Scene worker wished he'd have been able to record the ensuing conversation peppered with insults and innuendo about his future with the council...
It's not that there aren't enough bins to dispose of dirty Fido's ablutions; sadly advisory signs installed by the council have disappeared, too.
